studio gaffe: pilot season

Have you got an incredible idea for a sketch show, animation, sitcom, or film?

Now’s your chance to make that dream a reality and see your show in front of a live audience, with Pilot Season – a brand new monthly short film festival held at The Gaffe!

Here’s how it works:

  • You submit a pilot (a film that's five minutes or less).

  • Around six pilots will be chosen to be screened each month at The Gaffe in front of an audience.

  • The audience and our panel –including real life TV execs- vote for their two favourites.

  • The creators of the green lit pilots have the chance to screen a second episode the next month …and then we go again!

This is your opportunity to get your ideas in front of an audience, build up a fan base and make connections with creators, comedians and execs.

What are we looking for:

  • Short and funny. That’s it!

Pilot Season is about having fun and making movies. We’re not looking for a masterpiece, so please don’t think you need to make something perfect before submitting it.

Important dates:

  • The first Pilot Season screening will be on Sunday 11 May.

  • The deadline for submissions is Sunday 4 May 2025.

Have fun, and good luck!
